Road rides:

Distance and speed
Our standard club rides range from 35 to 65 miles. Faster groups typically cover longer routes, while gentler-paced groups take shorter routes.​

Bronze - average speed 12-14 MPH (non-drop)
-
Silver - average speed 14-16 MPH (non-drop)

Gold - average speed 16-18 MPH+ (if you get dropped, the group may continue at their pace)
What you will need

A roadworthy bike - a suitable bike for road riding and in good working order.

A helmet – Mandatory for all club rides.

Appropriate clothing – Dress for the weather; high-visibility gear recommended in low light.

Spares & tools – Minimum one inner tube (two or three is better) is a must, while tyre levers, a pump, and a multi-tool are recommended.

Food & water – At least one bottle and snacks for longer rides.

Lights – Recommended for early morning or evening rides.

3rd party insurance – Obtained by being a member of a National Cycling Organisation e.g. British Cycling or Cycling UK. (Not required for the Intro Ride)

We run a monthly Intro Ride, usually on the first Saturday of the month. If you would like to register, please use the link below.

Membership
Once you have completed your Intro Ride, you will need to join RCC to ride with us regularly.

We offer two membership tiers:

Entry to all club competitions and open cycle races

Discounts on cycling insurance and other benefits (e.g. training advice, discounts at sports and cycle shops) when you join a National Cycling Organisation (e.g. British Cycling, Cycling UK, London Cycling Campaign)

Basic + Unlimited annual use of the Redbridge Cycling Centre circuit (£80/yr total*)

All Basic membership benefits (£25 to RCC)

Exclusive RCC offer: Purchase an annual pass (£55, payable to Redbridge Cycle Centre) for unlimited access to the Redbridge Cycling Centre circuit**
